John F. Cary

Mr. Cary has more than 18 years of corporate development experience and has advised mid-sized companies on corporate finance, shareholder buyouts, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions. He has successfully negotiated numerous sale and recapitalization transactions in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, insurance, business-process outsourcing and healthcare.
Prior to joining McGladrey Capital Markets, Mr. Cary led the western U.S. business development group for McGladrey Employer Services, a business-process outsourcing company providing payroll and insurance services to middle-market clients. He previously founded and served as chief executive officer of two successful start-up businesses, Cellular City and ComCore. ComCore, a recruitment-process outsourcing business focused on serving high growth technology companies, was subsequently sold to DCC, an Inc. 500 company, in 2001.
An active member of the Big Brother/Big Sister program, Mr. Cary also developed an annual benefit for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from 2000 to 2004. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
